In the meantime, here are some great tips for an impressive audition:

1.  Always arrive on time.  Translation: arrive just a little bit early.  Allow for traffic and getting lost if you've never been to the location before.  If you get there before auditions are supposed to start, please wait in your car!  The auditors are setting up and getting ready for you!
2.  Have a snapshot and/or resume with you.  You may not have a resume and that's perfectly fine.  But at least bring a recent, natural photo - not one that doesn't look like you!
3.  Please know your schedule!  Be prepared to inform us of any conflicts you may have with the rehearsal and production schedule.
4.  Look your best in a way that reflects the role you are auditioning for, but not costumed.  Be prepared to have your picture taken or the audition videotaped.
5.  Be prepared.  Know what these auditions will consist of.  Do you need to know a song?  A monologue?  This website will let you know what you need to expect for each audition.  THE VERY LEAST YOU SHOULD DO IS READ THE PLAY BEFORE THE AUDITION!!!
6.  Be prepared to take direction.  You may be asked to do your monologue or scene in several ways.
7.  Listen.  Never, ever interrupt the director.  Not a good idea to talk to your friends or text during auditions.
8.  Be prepared to talk about yourself.  Tell a personal story or talk about your family.  The director just wants to get an idea of who you are.
9.  Take risks. An audition is NOT the time to be inhibited or shy.  Sometimes it helps if you don't have a friend there...
10.  Always say thank you when you leave.
11. Wear clothes you can easily move in.  Don't wear shoes that will fly off your feet like flip-flops.
12. Do not apologize for yourself or make excuses.  If you mess up a line in your scene, keep going.  If you have a cold, ignore it.
13.  Don't get too close to the directors' table.  We don't want you there.  We might be talking about you!
14.  Most importantly: be sure to have fun.   An audition is an opportunity to do what you love - perform.  The directors want you to do well.
